We understand the importance of 'going green' to ensure we're doing our bit while using fewer resources. We adopt this approach in all that we do to minimise our impact on the environment.
With this in mind our company is helping our clients working towards the governments 2025 construction strategy to help drive down targets - 50% lower emmisions, 50% faster delivery and 33% cost reduction.
Our aim is to be one of the top 'green' subcontractors in the UK by 2025.
Packaging
We promote the use of materials and its packaging with a high or fully recycled content. Where possible, we erradicate plastics at source. This ensures we minimise our waste impacts across all of our projects.
Life Costs
When Hiring items, we and suppliers should aim to identify the life cost of each item. If as a result the item being hired outweighs the purchase cost of its original new value, then consideration will be taken to purchase as a capital asset. Further consideration is given to repair, reuse and recycle items as much as possible to avoid landfill.
Pollution
We promote the use of water-based formwork chemicals as a standard practice. However, sometimes the project may require chemicals that cannot be water based. On these occasions, control measures are taken to ensure that the materials are stored, monitored and disposed of in a safe manner with a full Chain of Custody.
We aim to reduce and eliminate our Noise, Dust and Environmental impacts in the surrounding areas in which we work. Our Suppliers should adopt a similar ethos when delivering to our projects and in their own working community.
We are fully accredited to ISO9001, 14001 & 45001 by BM Trada.
In all circumstances when procuring, time has to be given as to where the products may have been sourced from. A simple item could have been through many different hands by the time it gets delivered to site. Consideration should be given to the origins of any product. Our affiliation with Building confidence and alignment to BES6001 ensures that we monitor our supply chain and the on-going (COC) Chain of Custody.
We only use timber from sustaniable sources which bears FSC certification and are always looking into solutions to further increase our sustainability objectives.
